The position is responsible for the accurate record keeping of all day-to-day transactions of the outsource clients of NPCM. This involves overseeing the month-end closing process, drafting internal financial reports, and performing other general bookkeeping tasks related to the overall accounting operations.
This job is a standard 40-hour work-week. There is no tax season and regular overtime is not expected.
Non Profit Capital Management, LLC (NPCM) provides outsourced bookkeeping support to non-profit companies. Our staff fills all of the bookkeeping and accounting needs of our clients that would traditionally have been done in their office. We have been in business for over 15 years, work with over 140 non-profit organizations, and have 25+ professionals on staff.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures that all the bookkeeping needs of our clients are met.
- Record all cash receipts and disbursements in general ledger.
- Record credit card purchases and work with staff on persevering proper back-up for transactions
- Maintain schedules for liabilities and assets with guidance from other NPCM staff
- Prepares monthly financial reports for bookkeeping clients, including any custom reporting they have requested.
- Provides leadership and support to the overall financial review process including designing presentations and reports, variance analysis, forecasting future results.
- Assist with client requested projects and other ad hoc requests.
- Assists the client and the NPCM team preparing for each annual audit.
- Acts as a collaborative team member within the organization.

Essential Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Experience in public accounting a big plus
- Experience in a role providing financial reporting
- Xero and QuickBooks are our primary accounting platforms. Experience using these platforms is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with Excel
- Must organize/prioritize work, manage multiple clients, tasks and projects and function effectively as a small-team member
- You must be located within the Eastern or Central Time Zones to be considered for this role.
